The New York Knicks on Tuesday re-signed Precious Achiuwa, with his agent, Raymond Brothers, telling ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that it’s a one-year,$ 6 million package.
After being acquired by New York in the OG Anunoby deal with Toronto, Achiuwa left next year as a crucial part of the Knicks ‘ movement.
After injuries decimated the Knicks ‘ frontcourt, he ended up starting 18 games in the regular season and half in the finals. He averaged 7.6 positions and 7.2 touchdowns in 24.2 moments in his 49 matches with the Knicks.
Achiuwa can play either center or energy ahead, but he struggles with shooting. He was successful in getting him close to the disc, where he could strike the unpleasant glass.
Achiuwa, who turns 25 in September, was drafted by the Heat with the 20th overall pick in 2020 and traded to Toronto following his rookie year.
