The Los Angeles Angels announced on Tuesday that they are ending Mike Trout‘s recovery after a recent loss in his bubble surgery recovery, and that Anthony Rendon has been placed on the injured list.
A torn bubble in Trout’s left leg was repaired on May 3.
” We’re going to shut down his recovery in general”, Angels public administrator Perry Minasian said of Trout. ” He’s going to get reevaluated. He still does n’t feel good, so we’ll see where that goes”.
Tiger’s defeat was not disclosed by Minasian, nor did the 11-time All-Star have a deadline to extend.
Asked if Salmon will be able to come up before the year ends, Minasian said,” We’ll see”.
The three-time MVP left Triple-A Salt Lake final Tuesday after only two wickets because of leg pain. He then started a rehabilitation program. Troud said on Friday that his injuries were the result of scar tissues that he had ripped off while jogging on a field.
He said finally that he hoped to continue running “any time today”, but did not do so this past weekend, according to director Ron Washington.
Fish was off to a warm start with 10 home runs and an.867 OPS over his first 29 games this season.
The 32-year-old Trout has n’t played more than 119 games in any of the past five seasons because of various injuries. He is making$ 37.1 million in the sixth season of a 12-year,$ 426.5 million deal and will make that pay in each of the next six months.
Rendon was placed again on the IL with lower back disease. The former third baseman returned from a hamstring injury to play in 14 games after spending the majority of the season on the IL.
The 34-year-old Rendon has never played more than 58 sports in any of his five seasons with the Angels after signing a seven-year,$ 245 million deal.
A career.281 striker with an.833 OPS, 158 home runs and 663 RBIs in 12 months, Rendon has batted .245 with a.729 OPS, 22 home runs and 117 RBIs in 233 game for the Angels.
The Angels recalled outfielder Michael Stefanic from Triple-A Salt Lake to get Rendon’s position on the squad.
